Lord Jesus, as I come to the end of this day, I pause to examine my conscience. I thank You for the graces You have given me and I ask forgiveness for the ways I have failed to love You and my neighbor. Lighten my heart with Your mercy, that I may rest in Your peace.
Answer me when I call to You, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
Know that the Lord has set apart His faithful servant for Himself; the Lord hears when I call to Him.
Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the Lord.
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Lord God, heavenly Father, I thank You for this day that has passed. You have been with me in every moment, in my joys and my struggles. I entrust to Your mercy all that I have done wrong and all that I have left undone.
Watch over me through the night. Grant me peaceful rest and protect me from all harm. Be with my loved ones and all those who are suffering. May the angels of God guard us and keep us safe.
Into Your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit. You have redeemed me, Lord God of truth.
Visit this dwelling, we pray, O Lord, and drive far from it all snares of the enemy. May Your holy angels dwell here to keep us in peace, and may Your blessing be always upon us. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
